For sale original California1966 Corvette convertible. 433 ci all aluminum big block with new GM ZL-1block part # 3946053. New GM aluminum rectangular port heads part # 12363401 (intake 2.19" exhaust 1.88"), GM L-88/ZL1 aluminum intake part # 3933198, Car originally 327 ci, but engine and drive train rebuilt as big block including 3" Denny's drive shaft and 3" half shafts with aircraft steel yokes with bolted cap (no u-bolt). Engle racing cam solid roller part # SSR 2361242, Headman ceramic headers, Holley 4150 780 cfm, carb. Centerforce dual friction clutch. Rebuilt front end with new ball joints and tie rod ends, rear end rebuilt with new trailing arm bushings, seals and bearings, with anti-roll bars front and rear as big blocks had. Car purchased by the original owner at Gateway Chevrolet near San Francisco, CA and owned for 35 years. Second owner, a Simi Valley, CA retired police officer owned the car for 5 years, and I have owned the car for 8 years. The motor has 1540 miles on it, and rear wheel hp dyno test yielded 400 hp @ 5700 rpm and 399 ft-lbs of torque @ 4000 rpm. The M20 wide ratio Muncie works well with the 3:55 posi rear. Beautifully painted original color Trophy Blue by one of the Overhaulin' body shops in Los Angeles. Spal electric fans keep the engine cool through heavy duty aluminum radiator, and solid breaking facilitated via Wilwood aluminum calipers and new drilled and slotted rotors front and rear.
