1975 911S 25th Silver Anniversary Edition- This is a collectors dream! Low miles(75,500) , all Number matching and in excellent all around condition makes this a sought after Porsche to a true Collector or enthusiast. In 1975 Porsche wanted to commemorate their 25th year building great sports cars-this was the edition "25th Silver Anniversary" There were less then 1000 built. Approx 500 sent to the USA and only a few non-sunroof coupes. Most have not survived as many fell to faulty motors or rusted bodies. Nice ones seldom come up for sale as collectors keep them stashed away. If you are in the market for both a great looking,driving 911S that will appreciate in value please read more. I do have it for sale locally and may be sold before end of auction. I, as the last owner, am a PCA member and kept this car to the highest standards possible. BODY/PAINT/EXTERIOR: : 25th Silver Anniversary's only came in this color code 936-9-3. This retains its original color and paint and is in remarkable condition. The gloss is excellent, there are no dents or rust anywhere. It has never been in an accident and has its original panels.The floors and front trunk pan are rust-free! All lights work and it still has its original H4's headlamps. All doors,trunk and engine lid open and close perfectly, also perfect factory gaps on all panels. Anniversary cars all had "cookie cutter alloy wheels and did not have 2.7 emblem on rear grill. All windows including windshield have NO scratches or chips. INTERIOR: the interior on this 911S is absolutely mint! The tweed plaid is very special as it was only used on the silver anniversary and it truly gives the 911 a different and classic look. I have never seen another Silver anniversary car interior that has held up this well. Seats including bolsters are like new. Prior owners had seat covers over them which has attributed to being this nice. All gauges, original Blaupunkt radio, horn etc.. work as they should. The carpets are also like new. Original Sport Steering wheel and headliner are also in excellent condition . Rear shelf has no warp-age and the original Blaupunkt speakers sound great! ENGINE MECHANICALS: This 911S has its original engine confirmed by Porsche of N.America. It starts up easily and idles perfect. It also has the rare optional 5 speed transmission that shifts with ease both up and down through gears. There is alot of maintenance records indicating a well maintained 911. It also has had a engine rebuild, new clutch and much more. It did come with a/c but does not work. It runs strong and extremely stable at high speeds. It does have a sport muffler but i have the original exhaust. It sounds amazing and i would think runs better. I would feel very comfortable driving this 911S on a long trip. All electrical including charging system are excellent. Car has recently had oil changed and tires have very little miles. This 911S has passed NJ Motor vehicle state inspection and is current until 2015 The 25th Silver Anniversary car was the brochure car for Porsche in 1975. It retains it's original numbered metal plaque on glove box indicating it's (anniversary) serial number. This 911S shares the same engine as the Carrera. It comes with its original tool kit, jack,spare, maintenance records,owners manual,brochures,seat covers and car cover. Also original red and black key. I encourage inspections here at my home.
