The sleek 117-inch wheelbase personal luxury coupe was a pet project of GM styling head William L. Mitchell Along with the Corvette split-window coupe, I think everyone on earth could agree that this was the best-looking car of 1963. The beauty of Bill Mitchell's Riviera design has withstood the test of time and still looks like a work of art.Buick's legendary 401 cubic inch Nailhead V8 made 325 horsepower in the '63 Riviera, and with seemingly endless reserves of torque, it is a lot quicker than you'd think. The Riviera's interior was a styling was also a classic, with bucket seats and a sweeping, low-profile dash trimmed in brushed metal instead of fake wood. This is a straight solid car, body panels fit well, floor pans and trunk are solid, 15 inch wheels with original spinner spoke wheel covers, engine runs strong newer springs and shocks, Seats were just completed with great black and silver two tone. headliner, dash pad and package tray have all been replaced and all in VG condition. Car was painted in 2000 shines well and is in good driver condition A/C does not work but appears to be complete.This car makes a great car show and cruise night classic.
