Vehicle Detail

Up for Sale is "Olive" she is a beautiful specimen of a classic PV 544 2 door sedan! My mechanic, Matt of "X-Ray Auto" in Ballard Washington a classic Volvo specialist has stated this is one of the most original stock 544 he as ever seen. Was a daily driver car shows normal wear. *Quality repaint in classic vintage Volvo sage green. *RARE" 3 speed manual transmission Original owner purchase went to Sweden and brought it to US. Almost all US Classic Volvo's are 4-speed * Four cylinders *NEWER Optima six volt battery. * Excellent quality reupholster job on on original stock wood framed seats and both door panels w/costume embroidered image "Felix the Cat" in belly laugh pose. Drivers seat shows some wear passenger and back seat in good condition.(work done by close friend known for his custom work on classic cars, "JJ Stimpson RIP" who passed before full completion of interior) So rear side panels are still original red and white stock. Headliner was "not" replaced and shows some age normal wear, weathering from sun and dirt. No major tears. Saggy in the rear just as with anyone getting older lol?? *Sound barrier material under newer carpeting in great condition. That is not stock, but nice to have. *Lighter, wipers, headlights, all windows, speedometer, horn, heater and front seat belts all working. Fuel gauge does not work, they never do. *All new Exhaust/Muffler Under a 1000 miles use *Newer Brakes under 3000 miles *Mileage was on odometer says 68,000 but I honestly don't know how many times it and rolled over on 100,000. There are 1million mile clubs and up for these classic Volvo's. *Original Glass Fuel Filter. There has also been an in dash line filter installed *Trunk shows some rust in a few areas, but none rusted through. *Doors in great condition show no water rotting or rusting. *Daily driver 5 days a week for 300 miles a week. *Needs 3 new tires, 1 good 1in white wall and 1 Full size 1in white wall spare tire included. *Newly Replaced left front brake cylinder *oil pressure and electrical amperes gauge installed *Doors will not lock w/key, trunk does.Don:t know if they just need a good lube or do not function at all. They do lock from inside by pushing down on the door handle. Can be locked from outside of car by reaching through the wing window, so the car can be "secured" *Original, sought after, "Service Manual" included in this sale. This covers "EVERYTHING" you will need to know about your Volvo PV 544. This is a collectors bible and can sell for hundreds of $$$. A necessity for a true collector. * Engine does lose a small amount of oil, she could use a new gasket I think. * Turn signals do not work. * Manual choke linkage was modified by previous owner. This has not been a problem in the daily operation, any season of the year. *Not sure how many owner's there have been, but it shows it was loved and well taken care with only a very minimal alterations to how it rolled out of the factory. In closing, this car is in really good condition w/many stock original parts For Olive being 55 years old she's a beautiful little runner!. The only after market changes made are the oil pressure/electrical gauges, an in line fuel filter, new beautiful upholstery and the sound deadening material underneath the new carpeting. All changes for the better-nothing hokey or out of hand. We will be happy to chat with any serious potential buyers. Message me though ebay and I will respond in less then 12hrs.Then we can set up a time for a phone call and answering any questions and any info my husband can share. I purchased this car for my husband in 2011, from someone who was not a lover of Volvo's, but had bought it from a friend in Arizona to help his friends financial situation. Our seller held on to it garaged for 5yrs. until he needed money. Many of these classic Volvo's are owned by collectors who live in Pacific NW. Because of that there is alot of moisture causing paint jobs & rust issues. "Olive" has some rust area's in trunk is not rusted thru, passenger door has surface rust at bottom in a few areas not rusted thru. Drivers door has no rust. My husband drove it for a little over 18 months as a daily driver (60 mi. day) before he developed knee problems and can no longer use a clutch. Between his knee and the need to pay off my medical bills we must sell her. So, we are hoping she goes to someone who enjoys her as much as my husband and I. The beauty of these old classics is their simplicity. With the included service manual there is not much that the owner cant work on themselves. *When my husband went to get title in his name, they made us pay taxes for their appraised value $9000.00, based on mileage, appearance, how close to original stock condition it is in at time of purchase. The fact that the car is almost completely stock raised the value (yay) and therefore the amount of sale tax paid (boo) We pay some serious taxes in WA State. He had driven her there and they sent out an agent to appraise the car. Really what I'm trying to say is it is well worth asking price of $8795.00 and it is priced to sell. We have also put some money into exhaust system & other etc.......... Olive is in really good condition w/many stock original parts For Olive being 55 years old she's a beautiful little runner! *Message me though ebay and I will respond within 8hrs or less, usually less. Then we can set up a time for a phone call and my husband can answer any questions and share any info he has. I'm sure I have missed something in the listing. I tried to cover so much information. *All "REASONABLE" offer's will be reviewed and considered!! On Aug-25-14 at 17:39:27 PDT, seller added the following information:
