Color only available in 1966 (1yr only). Out of 27,720 corvettes produced that year - 9,958 were coupes, 17,762 were convertibles and ONLY 2,311 were painted MOSPORT GREEN between coupes and convertibles. ONLY 5,258 L72 Big Block 427/425 hp motors produced in 1966. Black interior. 4-speed transmission. All four original T3 headlights (that work). The car was built with the following options from the factory in 1966 Mosport Green (982) - hard to photograph depending on light. Black interior (std) L72 - Big Block 427/425 hp "IP" special cam, mechanical lifters, & 4sp (correct 942 engine block), correct heads sent out during restoration and hardened seats installed. A01 Soft Ray tinted glass (new tinted front windshield), G81 posi-traction rear axle (4:11), M21 close ratio 4sp manual transmission, N14 side mount exhaust, REPO cast aluminum knock-offs, T01 goldwall tires 7.75 x 15 originally on car but now has (Firestone classic goldwall radials) U69, AM - FM radio "not currently working", (power antenna works). I took it off the frame and took two full days and wire wheeled the entire frame (NO RUST) just years of dirt and grime. In the corners I lightly bead blasted those areas. The correct Vin # stamped in the frame was in perfect condition that matches the car. The 411 posi-rear end is in the car, also the special HD front brake brackets were still in place. The tach is the correct RED line. The Gauge bezel is in great shape. I had the seats recovered professionally and the engine has been completely over-hauled correct NCRS restoration, 4 bolt and 427. I have a passion for old cars and have restored about 30 + the last two (pictures attached) the first new owner said (and I quote) WOW I just have found my new keeper. The other owner said the car was in a far better rebuild than he could have ever imagined. He went on to WIN FIRST place in AZ. @ a predominantly Chevy show, the 1st FORD to ever win FIRST place (picture attached). This is a 1966 is a REALLY NICE car with integrity and presents its self VERY well. I bought a Mosport green coupe in 1973 and sold it to my cousin and he would never sell it back to me. So I went out and found another one BB this time. I took the last 8 years of my life maliciously restoring this baby to keep it, but I now have another project to start and this friend must go. Let me make this perfectly clear, it is not perfect, but I have never seen a perfect old car ever. Nice but not perfect.
