Up for bid is this original 1956 Plymouth Belvedere sedan. It has the very rare factory 270 V8 engine that runs tightly.. and the orginal push button Powerflite transmission that also works great! The car has 61,000 original miles on it and I've just rebuilt all of the brakes after removing from years of barn storage. Besides brand new brakes, the fuel pump was also replaced, brand new muffler/exhaust and the gas tank was recently cleaned out with new fuel added. This is a GREAT candidate for a low budget weekend cruiser! You will not be dissapointed. Paint and some upholstery will make this car a definite head turner. The engine is smooth and quiet YOU WILL NOTICE A CLICKING SOUND IN THE VIDEO. That is ONLY the exhaust manifold leaking.. the engine is excellent as well as the original push button "Powerflite" transmission. The underneath of the car is amazing solid, however the driver's side front floor pan is rusted. Other than that there is very minimal rust. The trunk is very impressive and no rot. All of the trim that was removed from the car is inside the car or in the trunk, including the original door sill plates. From what I can see, it's all still in very good usable condition. There is ALSO some EXTRA pieces inside.. i.e. tail light towers/lenses. The ORIGINAL door panels are (3) on the car, and (1) removed, but in very decent condition to use for a driver or patterns to reupholster. Original style matching wide whitewall tires all the way around, and just over 61,000 ACTUAL miles on this car. Comes with a clear title also. The bad: The original seats were somehow separated from this car years ago, I have no clue what happened there other than I was told from the previous owner that they were sent for re-upholstering and never were retrieved. As I've stated, it will need a simple driver's side floor pan replace, but I will include a floor pan for that and the passenger side exhaust manifold is leaking at the back. With that the car will run quietly. Lastly, it could use a carb kit, as you can see in the video, it's very stubborn at times, but will sit and idle with the slightest ease.
