This auction is for a 1966 Fairlane 500 XL rolling body. This is a West Texas car and has only surface rust. The frame rails, trunk, inner fender wells and floor pans are in great original shape. This is the body only (no motor or transmission) - which includes doors, fenders, trunk lid and hood. There has been some body work done (bondo) on the driver's side rear quarter panel (see the pics). If I were keeping the car, I would redo the work already done. The front suspension has been redone with new brakes. I have clear title on this car and it would be an excellent car for restoration. If you have any questions, please ask. Thanks and Happy Bidding. I purchased this car to restore. I did so because the body is very solid. It sat in a shed in a Texas desert near El Paso for about 20 years. The last year it was licensed was 1997. But, I've got 2 1966 Fairlane 500 XL Convertible projects that I need to finish and a 1965 Ford F100 that I'm restoring for my 15 year old son.I'm selling because I have too many projects. I also have a 289 (2V) motor and a good C-4 tranny available that I can sell separately or with the car.Thanks
