1940 Oldsmobile 90 Series 4 door sedan Street Rod. The car was built in the late 1990's and started its build as a very solid original car. Unlike most street rods (that are small block Chevy powered) this Oldsmobile is Oldsmobile powered! It has a 1975 Oldsmobile 350 engine backed by a 350 transmission and an Oldsmobile posi traction rear end. The front frame from a 1975 Olds was grafted into the original frame. The car just received a new 4 barrel carb and new starter. The brakes were recently redone and it has newer radial tires on 15X7 aluminum Z Racing wheels. The car has heat, tilt wheel, and a newer AM FM CD player. The body appears mostly original with the exception of 1948 Chevy tail lights and a custom built grille. This car has been driven regularly and has proven to be dependable. There are some flaws in the body and paint. There is some bubbling/blistering at the bottom of the passenger side front door and a spot where the paint splintered on the trunk lid (see photos). The interior was done in gray cloth with a vinyl headliner. The car rides and drives nice and has plenty of room in the rear seat for passengers.
