.BMW 1957 R60. Unrestored, German Police Green, With all matching numbers, Tag, Engine, And Frame. I have owned and driven this bike for 52 years. Purchased in 1962 from BMW dealer Rose Cycle Shop in Findlay Ohio. The original owner traded up every few years but in the mid 60's offered me a brand new one even trade if he could have this one back and I said No Thank You. The Earls front fork gives it a really nice ride. You can ride it or restore it. It is all there except for the original mufflers. She has always started on the first or second kick, if you know what you are doing. The engine has been overhauled by famed BMW dealer mechanic and record setter John Penton. The transmission also has been overhauled. I have only been caught riding in the rain once otherwise she has always been kept in the dry. Included is the original tool kit and tool pouch, original keys for ignition plus spare ignition key, tool box key, and locking gas cap. That is an Aero faring which came with the bike, the plexiglass is easy to replace. There no dents in the tank or on the fenders. It has a center stand and a side stand. I installed the Denfeld luggage rack and helmet lock. The tires and tubes are new along with a new 6 volt dry cell battery. For you collectors I have saved the old tires, battery, and bakelite battery cover. I also have extra spark plugs, brake linings, ignition parts, 6 volt bulbs, etc. I have the original instruction manual and BMW repair manual, and my purchase receipt for the bike. The drive gears are 32/11 stamped on the drive case. The odometer only goes to 9999 so I don't know the total mileage but it is not that many. I have only put two or three tanks of gas per year thru her for the last 20 or so years. I am 70 years old now and slowing down. It's time to let someone else enjoy riding her or restoring her. I will refund any down payment if buyer disagrees with the condition of this bike as compared to the included photos upon inspection at my residence.
