This car may need to be broken in !! Always garage kept. Gently driven for nearly 20 years by elderly women. The original owner titled the car to her business and later to herself when the business was sold. We purchased the car for my mother 8 years ago (when she was 78) from the original owner with about 42,000 miles. About 14,000 miles were put on during the last 8 years. Mom has recently moved to an independent living facility with other transportation options and has decided to give up driving. The interior is nearly mint. The only significant flaws are a missing drivers seat back lever to enter the rear seat and mild sagging of the headliner. The sunroof is great and operates normally. Folding rear seats with hatchback are a nice option. The original upholstery has worn like iron - no frayed areas stains or tears. Very reliable always starts, runs and drives the way it should. The airbag light is on when started and usually goes out in a few minutes. Ice cold AC 134a. Surprisingly roomy inside, Recent PA inspection good until 6/2015. Firestone tires have 6/32 tread on all 4. Front brakes 5B rear brakes 10B, The sound system is nice. The last time the car left town was the summer of 2009. It was fine on a 350 mile round trip. The belts and hoses are original and should be replaced to ensure extended reliability. Rated at 31 mpg highway. Parts Geek usually has a good stock of parts for older BMWs at reasonable cost.
