Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1969 Lincoln, I purchased this car with a bad motor. Last April I replaced it with a rebuilt 460 V8 that comes with a seven year 70000 mile warranty. The engine has a new starter and starter solenoid, as well as an Edelbrock carb and intake. The now motor was put in when the car was at 90,442 miles do it has less than 2000 miles on it. The radiator was hot tanked back in 2011 when the first attempt to fix the original engine was done. The brakes have been gone through and work better than new. The only thing that needs to be done in the engine compartment is that the AC needs to be recharged. The car has new dual exhaust that was installed by the previous owner. The C6 Automatic transmission works fine, the previous owner says that it had a fluid and filter change not long ago. All of the vacuum operated mechanics work fine except for the power door locks, but the headlights work great and they stay down for a good deal of time. The front suspension is mostly factory, the front and rear tires will need to be replaced. The rear coil springs have been replaced. The body has most of the original paint, the car is in remarkable shape for its age. One could drive it as is or you could have the body gone through. The rear lower quarters have rusted out and would need to be patched. I cleaned up all four wheelhouses and put new undercoating in them. All of the trim is present and in great shape. There is not a single piece missing from the car all the way down to the dealer installed hitch. The vinyl top was more than likely replaced at one time since it is in such great shape. The only window that needs to be replaced is the front windshield, it has a rock chip on the drivers side and the inner pane is cracked right where the rear view mirror is. The interior is immaculate, the driver seat has one tiny tear the size of a dime due to a spring but it is not getting bigger. The carpet must have been replaced at one time since it is in such good shape. The door panels are good, the rear passenger side arm rest has broken off, the plastic has cracked where the two bolts hold it to the side panels but it would be easy enough to replace. The power windows all work, the drivers door motor has been replaced and works fine, the passenger window needs a little assistance when it goes back up, and the rear windows move just fine. All of the gauges and lights work great. The factory radio is no longer hooked up, but it is still in place for looks. I quickly installed a modern CD/USB radio under the dash that could be removed very easily. I also put two new Alpine speakers under the rear deck where the factory ones were located. I have been using this car as my every day driver this summer to keep the miles down on my lease vehicle. As I said this car runs and drives like a new car, the motor is very strong and moves the almost 5000 pound car with ease. I am selling the car because I have several other projects at the current time and my goal with this one was just to make it drive able. If you have any questions please send me an e-mail.
