No Reserve! I can't believe i am selling this but I haven't been getting any road time on it...You are bidding on a custom 1976 Honda CB550 cafe racer motorcycle. Make no mistake, this isn't some amateur garage job. This custom was built for me in LA over a two year period and was delivered to me two years ago. The subcontractor who did the cafe work is Dustin Kott of Kott Motorcycles. Since then, he has become fairly well known in the cafe racer world; and his full custom bikes bring big money now. The tank bears his signature knee cut outs and is signed "Kott" in electric pencil as shown in the photos. Since delivery, I have put less then 1000 miles on it. I don't know for sure, as there is no speedo or odometer. FYI it also has no turn signals, only a brake light and headlight. Also no ignition lock. Here's a partial list of what was done during the build: Engine rebuilt (I don't know the mileage prior to rebuild) Carbs rebuilt and pod filters added. new chain, fuel lines, filters, petcock, front fork seals, plugs, steering head bearings and swing arm bushings. new (non stock) master cylinder and brake line. original forks and brakes (single disc front, drum rear) new brake pads kick and electric start retained Cafe Mods: Frame tabs cut and frame powdercoated. New wiring harness (still uses points, condensor, regulator and rectifier) bare metal tank and seat cowl with knee cutouts on the tank and custom "bum stop" seat. I had the bare metal clearcoated to help deal with the humidity of the deep south. It looks good, but some patina has come up underneath as seen. Both are easily removed. clubman bars with new controls chrome headlight chrome 4 into 1 exhaust battery relocated to seat cowl (I replaced the small acid battery with a Shorai Li-ion battery that cranks much stronger and weights almost nothing) Kott custom rearsets This bike is a blast to ride and turns heads immediately. I will also include some extra Honda brand oil filters, a couple of helmets, three shop manuals (including Honda), tool roll, and whatever other odds and ends are around.The bike starts right up and drives great, even with stock brakes. Please note that the photos were taken with NO clean up done at all. I just pulled it out and took pictures. That being said, it can use a bit of polishing. There is minor corrosion on the forks, and some other spots that should clean right up. Feel free to ask questions or email for pics. This spring, I changed the oil and filter, cleaned the plugs, lubed the chain, cleaned her up and got right on the road with no problem. I haven't checked the valve adjustment or timing this year, but it runs fine. I will say that sometimes it doesn't want to go into neutral from first, but the only other small displacement Honda I had did the same thing so i never worry about it. It leaks a drop of oil from the kick start seal occasionally, but that's all. The carbs drip a drop or two of gas, and the fork gaiters are a bit perished. Those are the only issues. Price a full custom Kott and then bid with confidence. Per a request, I have made a short video showing a cold start of the bike after sitting for over a week.
