1978 Corvette Pace Car L-82 Auto. I bought this car at the Bloomington Gold auction in St. Charles, IL in June of 2010. At the time the vehicle had 48,200 miles. Today the odometer shows 49,191. I would consider this car as a #2 condition driver. Car drives very smoothly with no rattles,squeaks,or bouncing. When I got the title after the purchase at the auction, it showed the previous owner as a dealer in Lansing, Mi. I called the dealership to get some history on the car and was told it was a barn find that they had repainted and replaced the carpeting and seat covers. The interior is beautiful with no cracks on the dash or side panels. It was reported to me that there was no body damage prior to the repaint. All the panels seem to fit very well with the doors opening easily and they fit snugly when closed. Windows go up and down smoothly. All the glass is in great condition as well as the T-tops. The exhaust is tight and does not leak. All the storage compartments are in nice condition with the doors and hinges complete and undamaged. All gauges and lights are in working condition. This is my second pace car and I’m selling it because I have reached the age where it is difficult to get in and out of. I have an original AM/FM/CB radio from my other pace car that I will include with this sale. There is a hairline crack in the driver's side T-top. Curves from the back of the T-top to the side. I tried taking a picture but the crack does not show up in the photo. Just replaced the valve cover gaskets. I had a professional Corvette mechanic work on the car right after I purchased it to repair any concerns. At this time there are no known problems except for a small transmission leak from the front seal. It lost about 1/4 pint of fluid in two years. Everything else is great including the A/C which blows cold. Tires, brakes, steering, and engine are in great condition. I made sure it was safe for my wife to drive and that it would not break down.
