We found this classic beauty tucked away in a garage, covered in dust & untouched for several years. After a quick clean up & tune up, however, we found the car starts & runs smoothly & turns heads everywhere we drive it. The original B-Series engine & column mounted 3-speed manual transmission & rear-end were replaced by the previous owner with a Datsun 210. This makes it a peppy, 3-speed automatic that is really fun to drive. The original Coral Red with Snowberry White paint remains intact (as the pictures can attest). Original Features of this car include coral red rims, silver hub caps embossed with the Metropolitan emblem, whitewall tires, external deck lid & vent, immaculate white convertible top, red "Bedford cord" upholstery trimmed with white leather, electric windshield wipers which work great, and the "Continental-type" rear-mounted spare tire with hubcap cover embossed with the Metropolitan emblem. The car shows 76232 original miles & the speedometer still works, but I don't know how accurate that is. It was stored in a garage by the previous owner, but has small rust spots in both doors, the grill & bumpers, & the engine compartment. Overall, the metal is sound all around.
