Vehicle Detail
===---NO RESERVE AUCTION---=== This car was purchased by my dad and I around a year ago. We bought it from a gentleman in Texas who had found it in a barn at an estate sale. We bought it with ideas to make a cool, low rider wagon with awesome Texas patina. A year has come and gone, and we haven't hardly opened the doors on it. We just have way too many projects going on to find the time to do this one. Even though this is a Texas car, it has it's share of rust in the floor pans, the lift-gate, and the roof around the drip rails. The body and the doors are solid but there will need to be some body work done to make it roadworthy. In 1959, Edsel only offered four door Villagers in their Station Wagon line. It features the more rare 332 engine paired with an automatic transmission, which we haven't tried to start but it does turn over by hand so at least it isn't stuck. The seats have been recovered over the years with blue leather, but they aren't ripped up or torn and could be used. When buying an oddball car like this, the main thing to look for is how complete it is. This wagon is a complete car just waiting for someone with a little more time to make something out of it. Edsels are one of the fastest appreciating vintage automobiles in the market, because of their bizarre design and their infamous history. What was once considered an ugly duckling in the past, has become increasingly cool year after year. This would definitely be a head turner once completed. I also have a 1959 four door Edsel Ranger for a good parts car. It is very rusty and doesn't have a title, but there are plenty of good parts on this complete car. I would sell the parts with the Villager wagon at an additional price. Please email me if you have questions or text me at (219)-861-9908
