Up for auction is a series 63 1960 Cadillac Sedan DeVille 4 door flattop. This car has been in my family since the late 60's and stored most of that time. The was taken out of storage in 1990 and the motor rebuilt, new paint, fluids changed and restored to drive able condition. In the late 90's it was stored until last summer. It was driven a few miles a year while stored and fluids were changed every couple o years. Last summer the car traveled to Southern California where it now resides in Palm Springs. Other than paint, the car is very original. The carpet has been replaced, but the upholstery is all original with some wear on the drivers seat. The headliner has only 1 small tear. The dash has no cracks of bubbles. The steering wheel has only fine cracks. The car has AC but it has not been connected for some time. Power windows all work. Power seat motor runs but the seat does not move. Wiper motor is frozen. Some pitting on interior chrome, but it still shines up. Body is solid with only light rust around wheel wells and very bottom of fenders. Floor is solid. No major dents only a few small dings. All missing trim comes with the car. Car comes with 3 extra hubcaps too. It currently has a tow hitch welded to the frame, but should be easy to grind off. All glass is fine. The car starts and runs fine. I have never been stranded. It could use a tune-up soon though. Transmission shifts fine and has a small leak, especially when not used. Also a small leak at the differential. New water pump last year as well as new rear shocks. New front shocks come with the car. The last time I drove the car, the speedometer cable failed. Its a great car and I hate to part with it, but its time for something smaller. I may consider a trade for a british roadster from the 60's.
