Vehicle Detail
Gorgeous 1972 CB750F K2. This bike is about 99% original. As seen in the photos, the seat is not original, it is however the original seat pan. I had to make a thinner seat pad and then cover it because I am a very short rider for this bike. Even with my seat I'm on my tippy toes :) This bike had been my father's and with his gracious heart had passed it on to me. My father had altered the original front shocks. They are still the original shocks but he had altered them into air shocks. (shown in photos). Because of all the power this bike has, my father had also replaced the rear rim with one wider then the original. (which looks awesome). The stator has been replaced. Although an original stator to the 750, not original to this 750. I believe I've covered the 1%. The baffles have been removed from the mufflers, but I still have them. They can easily be put back in. (personally I wouldn't. It sounds awesome just the way it is). The battery is new. Just purchased it 2 weeks ago. The tires are new also. Dunlops (see pic) This bike can be rode today (in fact I did ride it today). There is a simple repair that could be made if you feel so inclined to do so. When I received this bike from my father it had tall cruising handle bars (it looked awful), so I replaced them with an original pair of bars (nos) during the dis-assembly and the re-assembly, the right control unit's wires broke off the kill switch and the mounting plate for the wires, along with the headlight switch. So, I hard wired the kill switch (so you can't kill, must turn off at key) and hard wired the headlight (so no option to switch off, low, high beam). Basically if wanted to, replace the control switch. I never did because its completely functional. The paint is in really good condition with only some fading do to age. This bike has always been garaged and loved. There are no dents in the tank. As seen in the pictures, the left side cover has been cracked in a couple of spots but had been plastic welded. I didn't want to paint it because its the original paint. This bike is a true gem. I don't want to sell it but lets be realistic, motorcycles are dangerous enough when you can touch the ground. I'm just getting to old to hold this monster up on my toes. Happy bidding. Feel free to contact me with any questions and I'll try my very best to answer them or I'll call my dad.
