Vehicle Detail
1959 Chevrolet Corvette. 4 speed transmission. This vehicle has been in dry storage for the last 25 years or so. It will need all major systems gone through to make it safe for highway use. It does run and drive, but the brakes are poor and the lights are in need of work. No frame rust or frame repair is visible. Underside of vehicle appears to be in good order with only some curb "rash" under crossmember. I do not believe the car has ever been disassembled or apart or off the frame. Some normal body stress cracks are evident, but I do not believe that the car has ever been in a major collision. I have looked under the hood area, the front and rear fenders, and the dash area for signs of repair. Both front and rear bumpers are missing. The cooling fan shroud is missing as are the mouldings that go around the coves. I only have the hardtop for it. It appears to be in good shape and complete. The radio is incorrect. The trunk lid fits well and the trunk area is in good order. The cowl tag is lost, but I think that the car was originally White exterior and Red interior. Original engine is long gone, but the 1968 350 engine runs pretty well. A little valve guide smoke on start up, but sounds smooth and holds good oil pressure. All of the gauges appear to work except the speedometer. The dash is as original. I don't think that the dash has ever been apart.
