Vehicle Detail
1951 Chrysler Imperial Convertible Very, very rare car; only 650 made and very few have survived (when was the last time you saw one) Top of the line American car in 1951 - first year for the Chrysler Hemi331 Chrysler Fire-Power Hemi engine Fluid-Torque-Drive automatic transmission Power windows Power top Original color combo Chrysler Historical Documentation I purchased this car from an estate auction about a year ago. The story that came with the car was that the car has been off the road since the late 70's as the previous owner was in the process of restoring it, but he got sick/lost interest and it was put away and had been in his barn in NH until I purchased it.. Car is in the same condition that I purchased it (partially disassembled and dirty -"barn fresh", as they say, but is complete and comes with many extra parts from a donor sedan that came with it (extra bumpers, grill, various trim pieces, interior pieces, etc..) The engine spins free and I have managed to get it to run briefly using starting fluid, but I am selling it as a non-running as I do not have the time to get it going properly. Body and trunk are very solid and rust free for a car of this vintage. There is a small dent in the rear fender (easy fix or use replacement fender that comes with car) and some small prior repairs that have been made to the passenger side floor. Relocation forces sale so reserve is very reasonable for a car this cool and rare. Over all a solid car that would need minimal work to get up and running as a driver or provide a great foundation for a full restoration. Feel free to email or call me at 631-404-Zero867 with any questions I can send other pictures upon request and I highly recommend you personally inspect before bidding. As mentioned above, car is being sold as is/where is and Buyer is responsible for any/all shipping costs. Thanks for looking- Rich
