For Sale is a 1960 Austin Healey MK1 Sprite. Has Original 4 Cylinder duel carb engine with 88338 original miles to the best of my knowledge. The original 4 speed transmission has been replaced with a 5 speed transmission that I believe to be from a Toyota but do not know the year, make or model. It shifts smooth and effortlessly. Engine runs great and offers an MPG in the 40 to 50 range. Other than the transmission the car is mostly original. Paint is a very metallic sky blue with desert tan vinyl and black carpet. The original wheels and hub caps are fitted with Continental brand 155 R13 79 S tries with very little wear. You will find several small stone chips in the paint and one small tear each in the Tonneau cover and the soft top. The oil pan gasket has minor seepage toward the front of the oil pan. Not a steady drip. Oil loss is not noticable. The only body damage is limited to the right rear where the bumper pad had been slightly pushed into the body. The bumper mount is a simple U shape and can be easily straightened. However the paint does have a hairline crack below the gas cap as seen in photo. Overall this 1989 restoration still shows well and is a pleasure to drive. Great for those short trips to town or a cruse on a hot summer night. No rust, no rot, no rattles. Very dependable. This deal includes a matching spare tire and wheel. Brand new never used side glass still in original package. New wiper blades still in package. New oil filter and other assorted parts. Also included is the original owners manual signed by Designer Gerry Coker at the Texas Healey Roundup in 1993 nicely framed for display. I will respond to questions as soon as I can.
