This is number 896 of the 1000 grand sports built in 1996. 1 of only 217 coupes made with the rare red interior. I have owned the car since march of 2003. I believe I am the 3rd owner of the car. The orginal owner put around 31,000 miles on the car, the lady I bought the car from put over 60,0000 miles on in just over 2 years, I bought the car with 92,000 miles. The car is factory stock with no aftermarket performance upgrades. As I have put in the description the heater does not work, i have driven it for over 5 years without the heater, corvettes are mainly nice weather cars, but i do have the brand new heater core that goes with the car. The passenger seat does not move forward or back due to the switch that selects driver or passenger runs the driver seat regardless of position but the air bladders for the passenger seat work if the switch is set in passenger selection. Thats about all the bad news. This is a list of parts that have been replaced since I have had the car: Factory New, not rebuilt, transmission. New dual mass flywheel with new clutch kit. The rear differential has all new seals, bearings, ring and pinion with the factory optional 3:54 gears. New U Joints on all half shafts and the drive shaft. New front brakes pads and rotors. New Bilstein Shocks all the way around. New Rack and pinion steering, and power steering pump, with the Doug Rippe power steering hose, which is much stronger than the factory original. The opti-spark was replaced by the previous owner at 90,000 miles. New radiator. New spark plugs and wires at 120,000. A/C blows ice cold, and no check engine light or any light on the message display screen, everything works as it should. There are the usual rock chips from a car of this age but nothing bad.
