Selling a 1970 Challenger R/T project/ parts car. My father and I purchased the car back in 2004 looking to restore it. 10 years later, I think it's time to give someone else a shot. She is a 383 Magnum, with a 727 Slap Stick Auto and 8-3/4" rear end. The car is not numbers matching. VIN is a JS23N0B, and the 383 matches this VIN. The 727 has no numbers, so I am assuming it was a replacement at some point. The body looks to have a different VIN. The car came w/ a/c, and originally had a black vinyl top. The car drove into the garage in the pics in 05, but hasn't run since we started taking her apart and stripping the body of the multitudes of layers of paint. 85% of the body now is down to bare metal and in black primer to protect it. The underside still is original and hasn't been touched yet. This car is 85-90% complete in terms of parts, but the body definitely needs work. All the parts are original, and seemed to be dated coded correctly where applicable. The car came to us with no fender tags and no build sheets were found when we took her apart. Most of the parts are in worn condition. Most of the parts are tagged to location at removal, and all loose hardware is in marked bags.This car comes with a new dash pad, new heat/ac core, new front grill assembly, original 1970 Go Wing, an original overhead console with wiring, 2nd set of 14" rims, 2 sets of front seat frames, new rear end parts, new sway bars, rallye gages, original radio, an extra drivers door, new seat backs and kick panels, new trunk mat, many original Chrysler parts manuals and books, 3 batteries, and original glass, and 1 original Goodyear polyglas tire. That's a great conversation piece.This car does not come with a front windshield, exhaust, carpet, mats, headliner cloth, center console top, or top of the package tray. I know the ww fluid container was brittle and broken, and the glove box was really bad off.The car is located in the north suburbs of Chicago (Gurnee area) and is available for pickup only.
