Vehicle Detail

I am selling this and my Corvette because I don't need and can't keep up with 3 vehicles. Up for sale is my 1985 CJ-7. This is my build thread on jeepforum that covers a good chunk of what is into it. (pic heavy) http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/85-cj-7-frame-resto-1311807/ I stopped updating it after a while but it has the bulk of it. Odometer shows 15x,xxx miles, however I do not know how much of that is on the larger tires, the mileage is lower, I just don't know HOW much lower. I have put less than 1,000 miles on it since I finished it in early 2012. Also no idea how many are on the rebuilt engine or the auto trans, either. AMC 258 i6, TF999 3 speed auto(originally was a 4 speed manual, removed by previous owner, clutch pedal is still there), AMC 20 rear, 4.10 gears, locker in the rear, 33 inch tires, unknown suspension lift(maybe 2 inches). Holley 4 barrel(390 I think) on a Clifford intake, long tube header, dual exhaust, Electric fuel pump. I was told the engine was completely rebuilt before I purchased it, but have no records to back this up, so take that at face value. Manual brakes. CJ got a frame-on resto 2 years ago. THIS IS A 29 YEAR OLD VEHICLE, DO NOT expect a cherry. Also, I am no expert at body work. It is a decent 10 footer. All work done by me and my stepdad. The only thing I paid someone to do was install the windshield. It does have a few issues that should be sorted out: First, the 4 barrel is just too much carb for the engine. I have tried my best to adjust it, but in reality it should have a 2 barrel on it. At times, especially when its cold, you need to play with the throttle to keep it running. I didn't drive it this winter so it has a new battery. It may need the starter rebuilt at some point. It starts, but sometimes it clicks, then starts. Second, the bump steer is terrible(its a CJ-7 after all), due to the lift and 33's. This should be addressed, but is still drivable if you know what you are doing. As you can see I have a hard top for it. I also have a bikini top. Has full doors(locks are disconnected), also have a set of YJ halfs(without locks) that go with it. Additionally, I have the YJ uppers, and modified TJ uppers(to work with the hard top) that go with it. The full doors were painted after the rest of the Jeep was, same color, just from a rattle can instead of spray gun, so they are a shade off. Cant really tell unless you are looking for it. As odd as it sounds, I hate the half doors and love the full doors. Exterior: 91 Firebird Gunmetal Metallic Grey(only year for this color) $600 in paint alone. Body work is as straight as I was able to get it, and I think looks pretty good. Fender flairs and rocker guards. I do not know the make of the front bull bar, but it is welded on. Both sets of doors have new weatherstripping(drivers side half door is a beast to close...) and the fulls have new stripping around the window too. Hood needs adjusting, sits a hair crooked. Interior: Seats are from a 94 S-10 Blazer, as is the steering column and wheel. Horn is wired into the "mist" on the blinker knob because this particular column does not have a ground wire in it, whereas the original did(yes, quite boring). Center console is from Quadratec. There is an occasional issue with I believe a ground wire under the dash, as sometimes the fuel and temp gauges will spike, then return to normal. Fuel gauge works, but the sender in the tank doesn't. Also the speedo gear tooth in the transfer case needs to be changed for the current tire size. Rear seat is original. New carpet. CB. I have well over $8,000 into this CJ-7. No trades, no loans, no returns or refunds, no warranty, etc. Located 10 minutes outside Gettysburg, PA. Pick up only, not shipping to Nigeria. Willing to meet within 1/2 hour of my house. $500 due via Paypal immediately following purchase.
