Vehicle Detail

nice older/vintage type bike.very quick and dependable.it is shaft drive and water cooled.i have been getting 50-55mpg w/89 octane gas.it would make a very good commuter or casual riding bike.this class of bikes were known as muscle cruisers and it is quick w/good power.the redline on tach is 10,000rpm but i have only ran it up to 6,000-6500 on very few occasions(i do not need to run the stuffing out of it).my wife and i ride it and will continue to ride it and it does well w/both of us on it.i recently put the wind shield back on and it helps significantly,w/knocking down the wind.the bike has a new battery, airfilter, oil change and lube change at rear drive.i have a new front tire that is unmounted as i was waiting until late fall to change it.front tire that is on the bike is fair and i have had no problems w/it.this is a 6 speed as it has 5 gears(6th gear is O.D. and when engaged, shows it on instrument gauges).i have had no issues w/gears/shifting.all gauges work as does radiator fan.the previous owner had dropped the bike on right side as brake lever is slightly bent and handle bar is slightly bent there also but no very noticable and does not effect the bikes handling or stopping.brakes are good.i like the cruiser feel and also the snap of the power band if i need the burst of speed.i believe it will make someone a nice bike and save them some money on gas this summer.the mileage will be higher as we still ride but it should not be a big increase in the miles on bike.thank you for looking.any question??? feel free to ask...On Jun-26-14 at 14:15:34 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE..thursday 26th...it is now thurs and i have taken bike for a shake down cruise.it had not been started in about a week and it fired right up w/no problem.i cruised about 20miles and had '' no problems what so ever.'' 60-70mph felt very good and i never pushed it.while riding i came to a decision and i want everyone to understand a few things.i like this bike,i just do not need it.it is a strong running bike and the person who wins this bidding will not test ride w/out a license(i will ride and will give ride if desired) there will be payment in full or no title and next highest bid will be contacted.there is out line of payment/etc on the sales page.after payment and title is handed over,i remove the license plate and if you want to ride it,fine,it is yours.last but not least, the buyer will be aware of that i have drawn up a letter for them to sign w/each party getting a copy.it will essentially state that this bike to the best of my knowledge is a sound running machine and that i am not responsible for the bike after the title is signed.you buy bike ''as is'.in other words,i am not selling a nice bike to someone and in a couple days they run the guts out of it and it goes ''poof'' ,then they turn around and say i sold them a piece of junk.''that is not going to happen." when i bought the bike i took a risk,i knew it was over 30yrs old and may have problems but as i found out,it is a nice machine.if you want to cruise and ride it normal, take care of it thru routine maintainance,it should be a nice bike for some time to come.if you choose to run the guts out, that is your choice and something i have no control over.if you accept these terms, you should have a very pleasant experience if you choose to opt out of purchase that is fine, next highest bidder(if there is 1,will be contacted and given a chance to buy it)if no next highest bidder,it will be relisted.i am sorry if i sound gruff or whatever,i want it understood that the bike is nice,i like it very much and i would have no problem keeping it because i know it will be cared for in my hands...thanks for your time....
