Vehicle Detail

This is a realist because of a none paying bidder. The previous high bidder was a six hour drive away and did not have his financing in order when he bid. He never even came to look at the Jeep. So, here we go again. A second chance A great Jeep. I purchased this Jeep in 2010 to use for our automotive video production business. It has performed flawlessly in getting us all around the country to video shoots and car show events. We used a vinyl wrap on the Jeep, and I have included a few photos of what the Jeep looked like when it was stickered up. We had no need to go off road, and the worst terrain the Jeep has seen while I owned it was a grass field at a hot rod show. We added the Garvin Roof Rack to carry our gear and we did a complete video of the install you can see here: We also installed a RideTech rear air suspension system. The system works fantastic. The rear coil springs were replaced with air springs. There is a small compressor onboard, as well as a electronic ride height sensor. The Jeep automatically adjust to any load situation and rides level and smooth. You can see a video about the system installed on the Jeep: In addition, the Jeep has RideTech Select Shock. They have a two valve settings with a push button on the dash to select the soft or firm ride. They work fantastic to smooth out the ride on the interstate, especially when loaded. These components (the roof rack, air suspension and shocks) would cost over $4000 if installed separately.  Mechanically, the Jeep is good to go. I have maintained the Jeep regularly, it has had to be ready to go across country at any moment a client called and needed our services. It has never let us down. I installed a new radiator last summer when the plastic tank on the factory unit started showing signs of starting to leak. We also have just installed a new water pump. It didn't need one, but one of our clients manufactures water pumps and we used the Jeep in the video. (the Jeep is in the following video - we also replaced the idler and tensioner pulleys when the water pump was installed) The Jeep also has an Optima battery - the BIG one (Click here for the battery info). The air conditioning & heat works GREAT, it will make ice cycles form on your eyebrows in the summer, and melt your boot laces in the winter. The Jeep has a good set of BFG tires with significant tread life left. The brakes are good, and again, mechanically, the Jeep is ready to go. The issues: This Jeep has seen some road miles, and there are some areas showing some wear. The paint has the usual rock chips and minor scratches from being used. There are some significant "checks" and flaws in the clear coat on the hood specifically. Apparently a radio active bird crapped on the hood, because the paint has been eaten away in a few places. The hood was like this when I purchased the Jeep 4 years ago. We covered it with a vinyl wrap so it wasn't a big deal. There are also some very fine, faint lines where the vinyl was applied with a razor. These are VERY hard to photograph. The top has also seen its better days. The windows are brittle and have cracked in a few places. I considered buying a new top before I sold it, but figured the money I would invest in a new top would be a trade out for how much more it would bring in the sale. So, I have decided to let the new owner pick out the top they prefer. Lastly, the subwoffer in the center console gave up the ghost. I've tried to include all the negative items I know of in the Condition Description, I don't want any surprises when the buyer shows up to drive the Jeep home. It isn't "perfect" but it is a good solid performing vehicle. Lastly, this is a no reserve auction, if you are the high bidder you are buying this Jeep. This is the second time I have posted this Jeep - the first winning bidder didn't have his financing finalized before he bid and had to back out without paying. PLEASE - be ready to purchase this Jeep if you bid. I will need cash, or there will be a waiting period of about 2 days for payment to clear the bank before you can receive the title. That is just the way it works. I have bought or sold several vehicles on ebay over the last 15 years and never had any issues - EXCEPT for people that didn't think things through and backed out. Good luck and feel free to contact me with questions.
