Vehicle Detail
Up for auction unmodified very original and !!! RUST FREE !!! 1986 Mustang LX Coupe. I purchased this car from a family member when I was visiting them in Florida a couple of years ago. It was their son's car who was off at college and had no use for it anymore. I've always loved the look of notchbacks and wanted to build one for a very long time. So fate would have it, and I found myself making the 14 plus hour drive back to Chicago in one of the cleanest notches I have seen. There is 0 rust underneath this car with 70k on it. The paint is driver quality and I believe it to be original. Everything in the car functions as it should except for the A/C, something with the compressor my Uncle told me. It has American Racing rims with newer 17" tires, and also the Cobra R style cowl hood. Over the years I acquired many parts for the build; 302 HO motor from a 95 GT with computer and harness, 8.8 complete rear end with brakes, SN95 front hubs and calipers, BBK equal length headers, Pypes full stainless exhaust system with offroad x-pipe, double hump crossmember, many other misc. parts. As of right now they are NOT included but can be worked in to the deal. I'm assuming it would probably have to be a local pickup in that case. Please feel free to message me with any additional questions and Bid To Win with Low Reserve Price!!! On Jun-20-14 at 15:56:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I added a few pictures of underneath the car to show how clean this car is, forgot to mention that it was undercoated at the dealership to protect it from all the saltwater in Florida. I also added a picture of the Factory Build sheet.
