Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1959 MGA Coupe project. I picked this up several years ago from an estate with the hopes of restoring it however time has passed and other things have become more important. If you are looking at this you are probably familiar with the typical rust issues with these models. I have included many pictures to assist you in assessing if this project is within your skill level but if you need specific photos of any area of the car please email me th request and I will do my best to get them posted. Not pictured is the front and rear glass but I do have have it stored away. I also have new rubber for both. The seats have been reupolstered with vinyl that needs cleaned, I have taken a picture of the back of one of them that shows some print that was transferred from a newspaper onto it. I have not attempted to clean it, underneath has new foam and some of the original horsehair and cotton. I have an extra set of seats and frames that need complete restoration. The dash was removed for recovering however has been completed. All gauges and switches are included along with extras (hopefully you can see them in the pictures). I am not aware of any part that is missing. When I first bought it I had it running and had the brakes redone to include a new master cylinder and at least a couple new slave cylinders (maybe all I can't recall). II drove it around the yard several times and it was easy to start. While working on some rust issues I cut the right rear brake line so that will need to be replaced. I have also include a lot of extra parts for this car and possibly other old imports that were included when I bought the car. Also include is a spare engine (unknown condition) which is pictured on an engine stand which is not included. An extra drivers side door is include as the one on the car is dented up. The car sits on new tires. As you can see the passenger side fenders and door have been removed for repair but the job never was completed. Again this is a project with much metal work to be done. I have pictured the drivers side frame rail which I began to repair, I have done the same to the passenger side which is semi complete. I will assist in loading the car and parts. I will require a $500 deposit via Paypal as soon as the auction has ended. On Jun-19-14 at 17:45:29 PDT, seller added the following information: The original posting states the dash has been removed for recovering however has been completed. I left out the word "not". There is new vinyl on the dash however the gauges and switches are boxed up. Also I have the bows for the headliner along with the old vinyl for patterns, old door panels for patterns and enough cream colored vinyl to do the headliner and door panels. Not pictured is a spare wheel, 4 extra valve covers, 10-12 extra spinners and a spare hub. I have a badge bar but would need mounting brackets and also a luggage rack and spare trunk lid. Several boxes of miscellaneous parts. I have also been asked about the title and yes I have one and it is clear. Hopefully this helps. Also the vehicle is located in Wapakoneta Ohio which is on I75 between Toledo and Dayton. Thanks for looking and good luck.
