The 1100 Shadow is a 1099cc, liquid cooled, V-2 (SOHC), approximately 551 pound (dry) motorcycle, with approximately 67 rear wheel horsepower. It has two 36mm carburetors, 4-speed transmission, single front disk and rear drum brakes, pre-load adjustable rear suspension, and approximately 5 gallon fuel capacity. The motorcycle is 100% stock except: exhaust, saddlebags, and mirrors. The bike has aftermarket (slash cut) exhaust system, which were professionally installed by the dealer. They give the bike a very nice thump sound without being offensive. The motorcycle was purchased brand new from the local authorized Honda dealer the summer of 1992. The motorcycle is clean and shows well (see pictures). There are the expected minor nicks in the body work from open road travel. The motorcycle has low mileage, considering its age, mostly because of little use in recent years. On a scale of 1 – 10 (10 being mint), I would rate the bike a strong 7. However, with the bikes age and open road travel use, there are cosmetic imperfections none the less. The motorcycle has never been dropped or crashed and has a clear title. *I want to clarify the ownership history, as stated, my father is the original buyer and owner. However, there was a 1 year period during ownership where he sold it to his son-in-law. Stated son-in-law did not use the bike and sold it back to my father, who resumed ownership, riding and maintaining for the past four years. The motorcycle is very clean (see photos) and has always been garaged. Reason for selling: Again, I am selling this for my father, who no longer rides the bike, as he has replaced it with another bike. As far as cruisers go, this motorcycle is a blast to ride. It is light, quick, and smooth as silk on the open road. Maintenance: The motorcycle has been maintained regularly and perform by my father and at times the Honda dealership.
