Vehicle Detail

This magnificent machine is one of only 4356 made. I's a real head turner wherever it goes, as most people alive today have never set eyes on this striking classic! The car is in very good shape, with gorgeous correct paint in gold and cream -- see the photos. Chrome and stainless steel exterior trim is generally in good condition but there is some pitting in pot metal parts. The 289 V-8 engine was rebuilt approx 3000 miles ago by a specialist Studebaker mechanic and is strong and reliable. When the supercharger kicks in, you feel an oomph!! as the power surges. The brakes stop on a dime and the car is in good, reliable mechanical condition. Dual exhausts provide a confident rumble. The interior is original except for the seat covers which were replaced six years ago. The radio is original but is not working. The Golden Hawk has given me much driving and showing pleasure and only ill health forces me to sell this wonderful, iconic classic. I am also selling my 1965 Studebaker Daytona and 1966 Ford Mustang convertible -- look for my ads on ebay.
