Thank you for viewing my listing! I’m selling my imported RHD 1987 R31 Skyline GTS. The car was imported under the 25-year DOT exemption rule and the EPA 21-year exemption rule. All duties have been paid and the car has legally entered the US. The car comes with the Japanese export certificate, translated export certificate, CBP 7501 form showing its legal entry, and invoice that is needed for registration at your state’s local DMV. This car has not gone through the lab process required for gray market vehicles in California so it is not registerable in CA at this time. This R31 Skyline is a clean example of a zenki seventh generation Skyline. The evolution between the R30 and R32 Skylines is very apparent when looking at this R31 model. Very unique in its design, this car is equipped with the early redtop RB20DET engine producing 180ps. This R31 comes with the optional Nismo front seats, Nismo boost gauge installed on the steering column, an aftermarket momo steering wheel, and a turbo timer. ADThree aero parts options are installed on the exterior. The engine uses a Kakimoto cat-back exhaust. After importing the car, when inspecting it I noticed some issues with the turbocharger and decided to have it refreshed at ATP Turbo and replaced. I removed the R31 turbo and had ATP Turbo refresh an R32 RB20 turbo then I installed it with custom steel braided oil and water lines. At the same time, I also bead blasted and cleaned the exhaust manifold and dump pipe and replaced all the gaskets with new OEM. The previous owner put a set of mismatched wheels on the car which I would recommend changing out. The exterior paint is in ok condition and the interior is in good condition. The stereo is still the stock stereo from Japan so the range of the FM won’t match to the US. The car also has an aftermarket HID kit fitted to the zenki headlights. The car runs beautifully and pulls hard. I’ve been taking it out for cruises and most recently took it to the Canepa meet here in the Bay Area. The car has 140,000km. eBay doens't accept the shorter VINs of these imported classic cars. The VIN on this R31 is HR31-101393. I can ship the car at your expense to your door if you would like. To give you an idea on cost, it ranges between $1,000-$1,500 for the shipments to the East Coast. For the Midwest, it ranges between $800-$1,200.
