MERCEDES 300 D 1975 Many would agree that this is one of the finest cars ever built. This model is legendary for reliability and durability. It is simply built to a better standard. Period. But if you are reading this then you know the car. This car was put together for my own personal use. We started with a good California car and got to work on it. We did a lot of stuff, All in the last few months. UNKNOWN MILAGE Brake system New Master New Hoses NewPpads Resurfaced Rotors RebuiltPcalipers Cooling system New Thermostat checked and verified flow and hoses Fuel System Cleaned tank and in tank filter New Primary Filter New Main Filter New fuel lines incluidng at the tank and the returns Tested and PROFESSIONAL TIMING of the injection pump New MONARK nozzles New Air FilterCleaned tank and in tankfilter Electrical System Checked and verified all bulbs snd services The fuel level and the clock do not work New Battery New AlternatorNew alternator beltNew steering pump belt Body and glass New widnshild rubber gasket (to be installed) New rear glass rubber gasket (to be installed) New trunk seal New Engine Lid Insulating Pad Paint the lower body and clean up/paint rockers and floors Very LITTLE RUST, none major, look at the photos Added pass miror General clean up and lubrication of hinges and locks and the like. Restuffed the driver seat (much more foam to do the other seats) All glass is good And in Addition New Pencil Glow Plugs New tires 4 Wheel allignement Trasmission Flush including Converter Synthetic Trasmision fluid (it is the smoothest Meredes Slush box I have ever driven) New MufflerIT NEEDS Fuel level and dash lights not operationalAC is complete and off the car and in need of refurbishment. Front end needs some bearing, rods, ball joints and such, most come with the car and just need installing.The car is slow and any non turbo Merc is but there may be room for improvement, especially when cold. My mechanic, the best in town, says the car is working fine the way it is , and I have it in writing from him.A few other things I cannot remember right now. AND A TON MORE.
