Vehicle Detail
This is a remarkable survivor. A California car since new, the Queen, as we affectionately refer to her, was purchased new in Hollywood and has spent the last several years just north of San Francisco in dry Marin County. She still proudly wears her original California Black License plates and of course the registration is current and the title is clear an in my name. The car has undergone a bit of an interior restoration with brand new carpets, a new headliner and interior lights. Mechanically she has been given two brand new Webber carbs that can be synced properly. New distributor cap and wires, new fuel pump and many other little minor touches to make her run like new. The motor is in fine shape. There is absolutely no rust on the car anywhere except for some surface rust that is beginning at the mounting points of the side moldings. : ( The Queen is wearing brand new white wall tires, including the spare. We also replaced the door seals to keep the car weather tight and quiet as she goes down the road. The car drives beautifully. Starts well, warms up and loves to drive around town or on the highway. Everywhere she goes she is given the thumbs up from people who are delighted to see her. The only real issue worth mentioning is a gear whine coming from the rear end. My mechanic believes that she was run low on rear end lube at some point and believes that now that it has been serviced it will not get any worse but there is a whine coming from the rear differential. She brakes beautifully and is a pleasure to drive. I have included a lot of pictures which really speak for themselves. I'm sure that I am forgetting something in the description but feel free to ask questions and we can be sure to cover anything that I may have missed. The car was rumored to be owned by Audrey Hepburn when it was new, fabaudrey.blogspot.com/2007/02/audrey-hepburns-car-for-sale-plus.html Click the link and you will see an article, but I have no proof and it is probably just urban legend. The reserve is set very reasonably because I want to sell the car but I have to say that it is worth more than the reserve amount. Best of luck with your bidding, you will not be disappointed with this car.
