1965 Ford Mustang. 289 cu.in. , 3-speed, with Air Conditioning. Same owner since 1993. Car was restored in 1997. This is a very drivable car. Strong motor and shifts smooth. This was owned by my Father-in-law, who passed away recently, and drove it occasionally. He had it professionally repainted and installed the interior himself in 1996-97. It has been stored in heated garage in winters and driven mostly to the golf coarse and back. Car is mechanically a 7 out of 10. Motor is strong running and appears to be original. Transmission shifts very smooth. Exterior is a 6 out of 10. Repaint is still good and shines up nice. There is a small dent/ chip in the center of the passenger door. A few other chips are visable and body lines are off around trunk area, but overall, car gets lots of comments and shows great from 10 feet. Chrome is original and shows some pitting. Not show quality, but a real nice daily driver. Interior is a 9 out of 10. It was replaced in 1996-97 and looks like new. As stated above, car was always stored inside and out of the sun. No tears or fading and very clean inside. Overall, car is a 6 out of 10 and very nice Mustang that is almost 50 years old, but well taken care of. Thank you for looking. I have got a folder that my Father-in-law kept since he bought the car. It has previous registration from owner he bought it from (South Carolina car) along with receipts for parts and service, the repainting of the car, and minor repairs. It has not been in any accidents since he owned it, but I can't say about anything before. It does look like the rear bumper is not lined up right, but that would have to have been before the repaint. The odometer reading on the previous registration (1993) read something like 19,xxx miles (which I am sure it is 119,xxx miles). The car now show only 2,000 some miles more, which would be correct. He just didn't drive it very often. He own 3 different Mustangs (2 1965 and a 1966 Mustangs ) at the same time. The car does have power steering, along Air Conditioning (which probably needs a charge). It blows cool but not super cold. It is a 3 speed that I believe to be the smoothest shifting manual that I have ever driving. No grinding at all. Very good daily driver car and mechanically very good condition.
