I'm going to start by telling you that if your looking for a car to restore, this would not be the one, this vehicle is ROUGH. the frame is gone, the floor is gone, there is rust almost everywhere, and it's surprising the car did not break in half when it was pulled from its location. However there are allot of good useable parts on it. I am taking a shot in the dark when I call it a 1958, that is what I was told by the previous owner. From what he can recall, the car was backed in under the barn in 1979, and then used for various body parts for a convertible. I am by no means an expert in Mercedes Benz, if your reading this, then you probably know more about these cars then I do. The engine appears to be complete, crystal clean oil on the dipstick, dual carburetors. 4 speed on the column appears to go in and out of its gears? All the glass appears good. The car somehow still steers, although when pulling it out the milk crate I was sitting on actually went through the floor. Dash appears all present. Looks like the quarter panel for the car is actually sitting in it. Trunk deck is decent, and as for the trunk itself....its not even there. There is NO TITLE! for this car, it was lost many years ago. Vin numbers all appear present on the car, and a bill of sale will be written.
