This 2006 is a nice car that gets great gas mileage of course because of the design of the car. It is still under a 10 year/150,000 mile warranty from Honda regarding the IMA battery which is very nice. Just go to Honda's own webiste and type in "2006 Honda Insight IMA warranty". It is made of aluminum, weighs only 2000 pounds and has very low wind drag. That is 1000 pounds less than the new style insight or Toyota Prius. The tires are in good condition and the a/c is super cold. It has the am/fm/cd oem radio with 4 oem speakers installed (instead of 2 door speakers most insights have) It has current registration, has a clean title, clean CarFax with no accidents and NEVER has to be smogged! These cars last well into the 400,000 miles mark because they are so lite and just do less work to get around. It will also go up in value because 1st Gen Insights are pretty rare. Honda did not build many of them and they cost $30,000 to build. This model of Honda Insight is still to this day the absolute king of mpg of all hybrids. Even today in 2013 no Prius or other hybrid car can beat it. Sure you can buy an expensive plug in car but do you really want to spend that kind of money for a 4 mile per hour charge rate? Talk about limitations. Even the new Nissan Leaf only travels 84 miles before you are out of juice. So why pay almost $10,000 for those cars when you can buy this one and get 60 miles per gallon? A Honda Insight 1st Generation car like this is even a good choice over a motorcycle because of it's high gas mileage. My price is a bit more than 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 or 2005 Honda Insights because it is the last year made and probably the most sought after year because it is the last of a generation. If you are looking for a true Smart Car this is it. It is small and unique like the Smart but gets TWICE the gas mileage. Just imagine how much money you will save on gas each day, each week, each month, each year. It adds up quickly. And the 1st Gen Insight is virtually maintenance free. The car is so lite the motor and transmission barely do any work. I am a small car dealer (just me mostly as a hobby) here in Southern California. I love the 1st Gen Insight and have one of my own I drive daily. If you win the auction and live in California you will need to add salestax to the final price. I am supposed to collect this at the time of sale. I can also do the dmv for you for free as the dealer only dmv is almost walking distance from where I live. With this king of gas mileage you could make a nice little vacation driving home for next to nothing. This is the only 2006 I have ever been able to acquire. I hope you like it as much as I do.
