Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on this really reliable 2003 Ford F-150 Lariat Extended Cab 4X2 Pick Up Truck. It has high miles, but the only affect this has on the vehicle is it gets you the work truck you have been needing for a lot cheaper than what they usually go for. This thing has a lot of life left in it. It functions perfectly. Mechanically this van is really sound. It starts right up and can drive across the country if you need it to. These vehicles are designed to last and perform. This is a very nimble truck but can hold quite a bit of weight. It is 4.2L V6 Engine, so it gets surprisingly great Gas Mileage. I drove this from Richmond VA to Columbus Ohio for less than $100 in Gas. Let me explain how this truck ended up in my possesion... My uncle owns a used car lot. I am a member of his dealership and like to sell cars on the side for a little bit of supplemental income. I have access to dealer only auctions and that's where I get these vehicles. I purchased this van from Manheim Fredericksburg. I flew in to pick it up and drove it back to Columbus Ohio. I had absolutely no trouble with the vehicle driving the distance. This is probably because I only buy cars that are "Auction Guaranteed" This is in reference to the powertrain of the vehicle. (engine and transmission) I can extend that guarantee for 90 days and will have that in writing along side the bill of sale for the winning bidder. I also really enjoy road trips, so I would be willing to drive this truck to the winning bidder for a fee a lot less than what it costs to ship a vehicle these days. Now, I got this for my brother who is trying to start a landscaping business. Perfect for him and his start up status. However: He has now grown into having to constantly tow a trailer. He does flooring... needs a load that holds a large mower and all kinds of landscaping tools. We are trying to get an F-250 Quad cab. I simply just want to sell it and sell it without reserve. hopefully someone can enjoy it for what it is. a very cheap but reliable work truck. It is very obvious who this truck belonged to as a previous owner. The truck is a prototypical work truck. You can tell it has mechanically been well taken care of. Everything works. The A/C is Ice cold, and first thing I did was have my Mechanic look it over and change the oil check fluids etc etc. The tires look to be with good life left on them, but I would do an alignment and rotation, because there is a slightly annoying shake at or around 55 mph. There are signs of this being a smoker's car. There are two cigarette burns in the seat cloth up front and 1 in the back. Actually the interior dash is quite clean and well kept in comparison to the stained cloth and carpet inside. Really this thing is ready to just be picked up and rolled right in to the job. Now for the not so good news. I am really going to simply just list the things wrong with this truck. They are all cosmetic. please keep in mind this is an 11 year old truck that was clearly used for work and has been driven 215K miles. When you think of this, you can actually feel very good how well the overall shape of the vehicle is. It is Obvious, Cosmetically, it shows that it has worked 215,000 miles. She isn't beat up, but I would not buy this truck if you are going to be turned off by bumps and bruises little spots here and there. There are no real gaps between fender and hood and such things (meaning no real evidence of any body damage in its life). The front bumper is a mess. The back bumper is actually pretty good shape. Rims are dirty with what seams to be break residue and has a faded scratched appearance. One of the four rims doesn't match. There are some minor blemishes on the body of the truck that seem to be dried up cement type material. not at all noticeable from far, but can see them when up close. A good buff would get that all off. Front passenger side fender has a black scrape mark the size of a pencil. Its not dented in or anything like that. that also can be buffed out., this Truck has the full tow hitch already installed. The arm rest is a little dirty. The driver side seat belt is dirty. The antenna needs a better "base" to hold it in a very fixed position. it is attached and fully functional, I just feel the need to describe it. The stereo is aftermarket and works perfectly. Actually has some cool design that is eliminated when on. It has AUX and USB inputs. The speakers are in great shape and the system sounds really good. Power doors and windows are all fully operating. It just simply is still an F-150. Please bid confidently. I have 100% feedback and try my best to describe the vehicles. Any specific questions I will gladly answer. call email or text 614-271-0330
