An original teak wheel will be included if the Buy it Now feature is used! 1965 Corvette VIN 194675s119601 This car has not been wet except to wash in more than 30 years. The only obvious replacement items known are the seat covers, gas tank, and shock absorbers. Both tops come with this car hard and soft. Original colors per trim tag : Rally Red with Red Vinyl interior (pretty rare combo) Paperwork: this corvette is not required to be titled as Alabama is not a title state for vehicles older than 1974. I do have a current Tennessee title that is free and clear on this vehicle. I will provide a notarized bill of sale to the buyer. Body: the panels all appear to be originals on this car with all bonding strips in place. The car has received one laquer respray in the proper color and proper laquer materials prior to 1990. The paint and body are in nice condition and there are no defects needing attention other than normal rock checks . The chrome bumpers, badges, and emblems are all in exceptionally nice condition and do not need attention. The door jambs and hood and tulip panel ledges have the proper finishes. the car has a nice white soft top with good weatherstripping needing no attention. I do have a hard top, but it will need a complete restoration. Body gaps line up nicely and headlights function correctly. Chassis: Nice clean frame, end caps look nice no obvious repairs are apparent. The frame is straight and solid throughout. Equipped with side exhaust and oem pipes and mufflers for that original only sound. Drivetrain: Car is equipped with the 396 engine option. 425 Horsepower. Car runs extremely strong. No noises, shakes, or rattles. The block is correctly dated and the vin and engine code is appropriately matched to the vin. I am not guaranteeing the authenticity of the cylinder case, but I do not doubt it to be the original. The various components corresponding to the 396 option are all present to include - appropriately sized original sway bars front and rear, distributor, radiator, battery access panel, clutch z bar, voltage regulator mounting, hi horse tach ( correct sticker is undisturbed and present on the back of the instrument cluster) 80 lb guage, TI box and mounting, big block rear diff caps and coding for big block only. There is a service replacement carb and repro radiator restamped to match the original. The car is equipped with a close ratio Muncie 21 transmission. The rear differential is coded 4.11 396 posi traction with caps. Interior: Appears to all be original and unrestored with the exception of leather seat covers added. Door panels, carpets, belts, console, gauges, etc all appear original to this car and in nice condition. Everything works properly with the exception of the clock not functioning. The carpets are faded but original so I have just cleaned the interior and left all the finishes alone. All switches work properly including the wipers, headlight motors, emergency brake, hi low switch, radio, antenna, door courtesy lamp switches, etc. Wheels: Reproduction Western wheel knockoffs in good condition. Original jack but not an original hammer included RECAP:This is an extremely nice car, never off the frame, appears to have always been maintained well and indoors pampered. The mileage is believed to be correct and it appears as such. Runs very strong - the strongest 396 I have ever owned. The car is ready to be enjoyed with no known mechanical faults. Breaks, bearings, fluids have all been recently serviced. Remember this is the precursor to the L88 with most high performance parts the same and it is evident! This car runs hard!
