Vehicle Detail
Honda CT70 Up for auction is rare 1969 Honda CT70 with candy red paint. Bike is very clean and looks good. Horn, tail light, and high beam headlight all work. The exhaust is from a later model CT 70. The over sized carburetor is similar to the Honda SL70 carburetor and gives it a little more power. The new paint isn't perfect but still looks okay. The high low beam switch position requires you to move all the way forward or all the way back in order to operate. The kick start sometimes seems to slip but after a few light kicks it starts right up. Also included is another rear rim and tire because the back tire is out of round from sitting flat for a long time. Some bikes came with titles because it was an option but this one doesn't have one, instead you will receive a bill of sale. Has a new headlight bucket, battery, and chain guard. The original seat is in pretty nice shape. Manufacture date is September 1969. It’s a fun bike to take on the trails and runs strong. NO RESERVE! ENGINE:The 72cc engine has new piston rings installed to give it good compression. It has fresh motor oil and a new spark plug. Engine number is: CT70E-117940. TRANSMISSION:This bike has the original 3-speed semi-automatic transmission. FRAME:The frame has new paint and new decals. Frame number is: CT70-118298 BIDDING REQUIREMENTS:If you have less than 10 positive feedback, you must contact me prior to bidding. I will only sell to the lower 48 US states, no international bidders. I reserve the right to cancel bids at any time to buyers who do not meet the bidding requirements. PAYMENT METHOD:I accept PayPal or cash upon pickup as a payment. If you are doing a local pickup you must make a deposit of $200 (with PayPal or cash) within 48 hour of the auction ending and pay the rest with cash. If you are having the motorcycle shipped you must send the full payment before it is shipped out, I will not release the bike to the shipping carriers until full payment is received. LOCAL PICKUP:This method is highly preferred over the shipping option. I live in Villa Park, IL (60181) which is about 30 minutes west of downtown Chicago. Bike must be picked up within 2 weeks of auction ending, or I will go to the next highest bidder. SHIPPING:Buyer is completely responsible for arranging the shipping and covering ALL shipping costs. I will assist when needed but will not deliver nor pay any fee to have the bike shipped. Shipping to the lower 48 US states only, no international shipping. The motorcycle must be picked up by the shipping carriers within 2 weeks of the auction ending, or I will go to the next highest bidder.
