For sale is a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country with four wheel drive. It runs and drives with no problems and is being sold with no reserve. The legendary 4.0L six cylinder engine purrs along without a miss, smoke or over heat. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly without hesitation. No four wheel drive problems. The brakes, suspension and steering seem normal. No exhaust leaks. The exterior is in better that average condition for the age. You might find a scratch or two but it has no major dents or dings. There is the normal surface rust on the unpainted parts under the truck such as springs, axles, etc. but no body rust. The windshield is crack or chip free. The lights and lenses are bright and clear. The decorative door moulding on the driver side is missing. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 25% tread (see pic). The interior is in good condition but could use a good cleaning. No wear areas except on the driver seat. The power options such as windows, locks, cruise control work as designed. The radio is missing but the wiring harness is there. The heat is hot but the AC is warm and may need a charge. This Jeep Cherokee is mechanically sound but could use some cosmetic TLC. We have sold Jeeps with the 4.0L engine with over 300K miles. They are made to go the distance. There are no current mechanical problems and no indication of any impending issues. The new owner will be able to drive home with confidence. This pre-owned Cherokee is being sold by a Maryland Used Car Dealer.
