I have owned this car since purchasing in San Diego in 1982. This is a project that has kinda stalled out and it is time to just let the car go with all the extra used parts and new parts.Also includes a complete 1970 2000 parts car. This car is actually a Datsun 1600 Roadster that I began the process of restoring and converting the drive train completely to a Datsun 2000 Roadster. the car still has the complete original 1600 drive train (removed) and 2 complete Datsun 2000 engines and 1 2000 transmission. The car and frame is as rust free as you are going to find, especially in the midwest. the interior is very nice and should just need a good cleaning. there is a fairly bad dent on the left rear quarter panel that was caused by a storage accident. The outdoor photos were taken in the summer of 2012 when I began this project. the car has been indoors on jack stands with the motor removed since. I have so many old sports cars and bikes that I realize now that I would rather just drive and enjoy the cars and a project like this (i.e. work) is too much for me anymore. my loss is your gain. The car comes with clear Illinois title in my name. the parts car actually has a clear title too (if I can find it) but I never bothered to put this in my name. I bought the car to support this project and for the 5 speed transmission. This auction includes any and ALL datsun parts and etc. that is in my basement and barn. New clutch and hydraulic parts still in box. my loss is your gain. I live about an hour Southwest of Chicago. Buyer must come and get the car with a trailer or tow dolly or what ever. NO SHIPPING!!! Car and all parts are for sale AS WHERE IS. Prefer cash please don't waste my time! Ask lots of questions and come inspect the car. I will not part this out unless I have to. I'd like it all gone. I've taken the time to do a bit more inventory of all the parts that come with this car: Also, I found the title to the parts car so it has a clear IL. title; The car comes with 3 complete engines; One 1600 engine with all accessories and a 4 speed transmission. Two 2000 engines U20, with most all the accessories, and one 5 speed transmission. There is also an extra, very nice 1600 cylinder head.New parts in boxes: complete clutch kit, clutch master and slave cylinders, Brake Master cylinder rebuild kit. flexible brake lines. Everything Datsun in my barn or house goes with the auction. thanx for looking
