Vehicle Detail

As-found 73 CS Coupe, automatic, no sunroof. Seems to be complete, but everything will need restoration or use for parts. The car runs and drove onto a trailer more than a year ago. It had been used a daily driver for several years and usually parked outside. It's been indoors for the past year and half, but no work has been done during that time. The body is straight with no dents or crash repair that I can tell. It does have lots of rust in some of the usual locations. There is quite a bit of rust in the wheel wells aft of the wheels. The front strut mounts have rust and the floors (rusted completed through in spots) and rockers have rust. Body panels, hood, trunk, doors, fenders all seem to be solid with no rust through and very little rust above the rockers. Doors, trunk and hood all open and close nicely, all glass is good and the interior is in good condition for the most part. The seats are in very good condition, especially the rears. The door cards are showing wear and the driver's door card is warped. Most of the wood trim needs to be refinished. The headliner is good, the carpet is good and all of the switchgear seems to be present. Chrome/stainless trim appears to all be there. The car has four original wheels and what appears to be a newer spare, which is mounted on the driver's rear currently. There are five original hubcaps. The engine has Weber carbs, and the original Zeniths are in the trunk. The car rolls easily and the brakes work. The paint is sun burned and peeling on the top and hood, and faded everywhere else. The trunk floor trim is good, but the tool tray is cracked and missing its tools. All lights and lenses are good, door handles are good, seats fold forward as they should and glove box opens and closes as it should. The door for the hood release handle is unattached, but present. The rear valance is bent from a less than empathetic toe at some point in the car's life. Assume all rubber is perished from our dry climate. Also assume that mileage shown is not true or accurate. This car is rusty as the pics show. She is not a cream puff and anyone is welcome to come see it in person. I also have a Colorado title in hand. Located about 1.5 hours East of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. The vehicle can be stored for $200 per month at it's current location. This is being relisted as the winning bidder did not pay. Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay!! Dreamers please do not bid. Please check with your wife before bidding. On Mar-31-14 at 07:30:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: The car does include the driver's side rocker panel and chrome trim that mounts below the door and runs between the front and rear wheel openings. It also includes the access panel for the passenger side headlights, which is shown removed in the under hood shots. There are also three pieces of thin chrome body trim and various interior fittings that were removed by the previous owner. I have added a photo showing most of the spares in the trunk of the car. The driver's door interior panel is not thoroughly attached to the door, but appears to be complete. Door panels will require some refurbishing, especially the driver's door panel has warping and the wood trim will need refinishing. Buyer should anticipate a complete car, missing only small trim or interior pieces from what I can tell, but the car has been sitting for several years, and will require all systems to be gone through, and most probably requiring work, if only to replace perishable rubber etc. On May-12-14 at 09:51:25 PDT, seller added the following information: If you have less than 15 feedback please message me before bidding. The car is required to be picked up within 2 weeks of auction closing or the additional $200 per month will apply. Thank youOn May-13-14 at 07:53:18 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is for sale locally and I have the right to end the auction at any time.
