1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe with rare 4-speed. Out of 37,000 Corvettes total built for 1974, less then 10 percent came with the factory M-21 4 speed. Car is numbers matching engine and transmission with tilt wheel, power steering and power brakes with the L-48 350 engine. Car runs and drives good, engine seems very tight with no leaks, have driven the car on the freeway in the last week, over 50 miles with no problems. Transmission shifts fine and stays in all four gears, clutch seems good, previous owner said engine was rebuilt, but no receipts. Corvette looks all original with the exception of an aftermarket radio, all gauges work except the tach. Headlights go up and down, as you can see in the pictures, will need new rear bumper cover and front bumper cover. Paint is decent for its age, but I would redo it after you put the new bumper covers on. Frame is starting to get a little soft underneath the drivers and passengers doors, the rest of the frame is very solid, see pictures. I did not pull the gas tank to get the original build sheet, original spare tire is in carrier. All glass is original and birdcage is on excellent shape. Because of the rarity of the 4 speeds, this 1974 would be an excellent candidate for a restoration or replace the bumpers and have an excellent driver that you can enjoy for a while. Seats are in decent shape and are original, door panels are showing its age, dash and gauges are originals with no cracks.
