It has been well kept, and is mostly original with the original Oak leaf Brown (the only color available in 1977) color which looks like new, and you can still see the factory rivet marks and the natural waves that the jeep had when it was born w/gold wheels Original Engine  line 6 4.2 liter 258cid. and 3 speed manual transmission. Mileage: 66,977. Kept in a garage since 1981, and used in dry Southern California. 4x4 works fine but I have not had it out in the sand dunes or mudding and the transmission and clutch shift good and the jeeps stops well. Original axles (Rear: AMC Model 20, 3.54 ratio, Code "N" locking differential; Front: Dana 30, 3.54 ratio) 15 x 8 original wheels w/31x10.5 R15LT M+S tires, Lifted 2" . The Golden eagle has power steering, Power Brakes and Disc brakes in the front. Bikini top cover and original seats. Runs and drives great. Note: the California Edition was only available through California AMC Dealerships.
