Maroon/Red with Gold pin stripping, has camel interior and tan carpets? Three owner since New. Very nice Vintage 1972 Lotus Twin Cam Europa, also known in US as Special. 4 cylinder, 5 speed, dual overhead cam 1600cc engine with Special Webber head. 40DCOE's. This car comes with two or three binders full of receipts and papers relating to the car. Obviously lots was spent and many internal upgrades have been made. Exterior remains unchanged. .Avo Shocks, bradded lines,upgraded pads, header, updated shift linkage, better water pump, etc. 5 Lotus Brand Alloy wheels .all tools still in Pouch, with original jack and spare fuses. All original glass is in place and doors are perfect with no sagging, door window motors have been gone thru, they ain't fast, but work fine. but if interested i can link you to who supplied my high speed motors for it's twin. all original badging,including world championship is original and intact. interior has been redone in correct materials and finishes.full carpets were renewed, and drivers has a few scuffs, easily removed with steamer. and i might just do it. car never had radio which suited me fine as I always told the uninitiated, the stereo was in the back and had a header. retains original veneer dash and show some checking,but nothing unusual. original stickers are intact and readable such ad glove box stickers. never any accidents that i know of,the fiberglass is very clean inside. good luggage compartment, Engine has peak compression in all cylinders and just had major service at one of the East Coast leading Lotus Exclusive shops. Intermechanica, in Larchmont,NY. Brakes, cooling, water pump, timing chain, tune up.etc. For those who may not know this is a mid-engine beast and runs like a bat out a hell. Drives like a go-kart on the street. Owning 7 Lotus these are exceptional cars for driving and engineering excellence. This car was purchased in Los Angeles California in 1971 and came to New York in April of 2000. Very few miles have been logged since it's arrival as I have two others and a Seven that I race. It's 1972 twin in rare Colorado Orange will remain in the corner for now. Overall solid car to drive or take it to the next level with a Chip Foose approach, little extreme for me but WOW.Reason for selling is age, mine and health issues.You are purchasing a car that has logged few miles in the last 20 years, but is ready to go. Milage shows 95,000 but was replaced, so true milage is anyone's guess,Car is located in New York, my warehouse is 65 miles from New York CityPine Bush ,NYYou can drive it back to California, but it is 43 years oldI would go safe and ship if you don't live local.
