Vehicle Detail
In this auction we have a 2006 BMW R1150 GS Adventure Special Edition motorcycle. This is truly a special edition with under 500 produced. The bike only has 18,887 miles that were gently added by two experienced, older riders. The current owner is only the second one the bike has had. These low mileage 2006 G6 Adventures in good shape are getting harder to find and this one is about as close to factory as you are going to see. So if you want to have a chance to own a very limited edition machine similar to those ridden by Ewen McGregor and Charley Boorman in their "Long Way" series this is your chance! Some positive points for this bike:*You can see it running here *Recently serviced *Fluids changed *Valves adjusted *General BMW bike service checks were made during the service. *Front tire has about 500 miles on it but is otherwise new *Rear tire has some mileage left but you will want to replace it before any cross country excursions *Upgraded adjustable windshield brackets come installed *Plastic fuel disconnects have been replaced with metal for durability. *Perfect tank with no dents or scratches – please see photos Points of concern for this bike: *Aftermarket aluminum panniers do have some small scratches – also see included photos. *You will need a battery -- the battery in it currently is weak and was put in it just to show its function. Basically, you'll be getting a beautiful machine with no major issues. . . or even any minor issues aside from the two listed. The owner is selling this because he has gotten a little older and his interests have changed from the heavier touring bikes he once preferred to lighter, vintage machines and more local riding. He wants to sell this simply so he will have more garage space and so someone who will appreciate this machine will put it on the road. Since this is an unusual bike to find in such nice condition, please feel free to contact me at 740.57.6567 and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Shipping, returns, and payment – Shipping is to be arranged by the buyer. You can have a freight company pick it up or you can pick it up in person. Other options will need to be discussed ahead of time. I will accept bids from people outside of the United States. I require a non-refundable Paypal deposit of $200 within 48 hours of the close of the auction. If you bid on this, please be serious about your intention to buy. The final payment will be accepted as cash upon pickup or through a verified payment method. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions prior to bidding. Since we are dealing with vintage motorcycles, you are purchasing the bike as is with no warranty and no returns accepted at this time. Please see my feedback, however, and feel comfortable that you are getting what you are being shown as it was described. Again, if you have any questions or concerns prior to bidding please feel free to ask and I will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention!
