This wonderful transporter (T1) Model 221, has been in California since the mid 1960's and possibly from new. The license plate frame is from Humphrey Motors in Hayward, CA who was an early VW dealer. Original color was Mango Green that can be seen through the older respray (grey). A very nice example of a Kombi transporter with minimum rust and very little body damage. Past owner kept great records since from 1984 until 2013. The 6V system works fine and the starter turns over the engine on first try. Engine was replaced sometime in 1988, and now has only 75,000 on it.
