Vehicle Detail

Bike was upgraded, fine tuned and made ready by a race bike collector. He never raced it, just built it with pride. I have put about 100 miles on it, planned on riding it this summer. Guess I was looking for more of a laid back ride. I am not a big guy and haven't really ridden in 15 years. This bike is for a more experienced rider, no doubt about it. The bike looks incredible, 4 pipes header with GREAT chrome shine. The bike sounds even better. Nice cool idle but the header literally growls. See YOUTUBE videos: http://youtu.be/KIryLPHRXJ8 http://youtu.be/GIznL5yEIQU What was done: $$ Thousands in special parts and labor! Quoting from the mechanic: "This is a fresh 1166 motor with a lot of goodies. It has a lock up clutch with a billet hub and new springs. A welded big end crank. A back cut transmission. Webb cams. Big valves. Top end oiler. It also has 38 Mikunis with new Air filters. This bike is very fast. If you want to race it, its all you want. It also has a modified seat, to keep you locked in. A new fork brace has been installed and the tires have very few miles on them. The Vance and Hines pipe is new. The paint is new. The chain and sprocket are in very good condition. I wanted to build a fast street bike that looks basically stock. So I did. I drag raced bikes for about 25 years and now I just like to build fast street bikes. Mostly this style. This bike runs out great." just over 20,000 miles, rides like new and better.I will be help your shipper in anyway I can or pick up locally in west Chicago suburbs. Recommend USHIP. I have used them a few times and it works out great. The bike is for sale locally and so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. About the GS1100E: The GS1000E had proved to be a very capable machine, with a strong engine and terrific handling, but in terms of top speed, and particularly quarter mile performance, it was beaten by the Honda CBX and Yamaha's XS11. Suzuki lost sales as a result... hence the reworking of the GS1000E into the GS1100E. The new engine benefitted from a four valve per cylinder head, and had much more power than its predecessor. As a result, the 1100 was the new Speed King. Power was spread across the rev range, and it could pull from as little as 2000rpm. The GS1100E retained the ergonomic features of the 1000, and was a comfortable mile eater, as well as an eye opening performer. Power in 1980 was 86.67@8000rpm, with torque of 59.73@6500rpm. wet weight was 563.5lbs. ”
