This is a 1973 Volvo P1800ES sportwagon that has been modified with a 1964 327 engine and 4speed transmission. It runs beautifully as it should with much power to be felt under your seat! The hood has been modified to fit the 327 motor with its Elderbrock Torker intake topped off with Elderbrock 4 Barrel carb and air cleaner. The motor is a rebuild with under 2000 miles on it. The odometer reads 91,966. We believe it has the original Volvo wheels. EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN DONE TO THIS CAR HAS BEEN DONE BY A PREVIOUS OWNER but seems to have been done right, I can tell you they did not cut the firewall to fit the engine that is why it also has the modified hood to give room for the carb. We have owned the car for almost 4 years now with very minimal driving to only our local car shows the first year we bought it, when we took it out of storage it fired right up and we drove it to our home where it is now and it ran great!! This car is a show stopper and everyone asks "What is that?" it's an eye catcher as it looks and sounds great! With a new paint job this car will be the talk of the town! The dark tint on the hatch and rear windows just adds to the cars cool appeal, the alpine system was put in very tastefully and seems to be done professionally with a beautiful stainless steel encasing and it also sounds great and looks good in the car. The battery is covered by a stainless steel box and the inside of the hood also has stainless on it to show off the motor at the shows. The car still has it's original radio in it also, wipers work, all lights work so does the signals and e brake. The car has no heater or heater core due to the size of the engine (no place to fit it). Speedometer is not working and it has some cracking and chips in the paint and also some paint bubbling in areas. The interior is in great shape with the exception of a very small tear in the vinyl on the passenger door and rear seat on wheel well hump on passenger side.
