Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1980 CM400T. It was my first motorcycle, I bought it off a guy last year that received it in a trade, instead of asking the original 1st owner if he wanted it back, he sold it behind his back. It sat outside for a long time, I had to replace the whole exhaust system, the carbs, seat, newer clutch cable, oil was changed a week ago, I put Emgo mufflers on it, I replaced the speedo because it didnt work, but the one I bought also had the same problem so I put the original one back on, I only rode it maybe 15 miles with them swapped out. Clean NJ title. Bike starts right up, carbs were cleaned by me recently, it runs funny when it's cold, I was told these old Hondas do that until they warm up, once this bike is warmed up you can blip the throttle and the response is dead on. I love this bike, I just want to sell it because Im working on a Magna and dont really dont need 2 bikes. It has a tick in the top end, always did, I didnt mess with the motor at all, it looks like the valve cover was taken off at one time, it has some silicone around it. I never got it diagnosed because it ran fine to me, power was there etc. It will need a new front tire soon, it's cracked up from sitting, it looks like it's getting worse, the rear is okk I bought a chain for it, not installed yet, that will be included, just need the sprockets. I will not ship Must pick up at my house, or meet, whatever works for the winner Deposit within 48hrs Bike is sold in AS IS condition On Apr-29-14 at 15:20:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention it has a small oil leak, it looks like it's coming from the drain plug, it can use another one, it looks like it had better days, it's not stripped though and will come out, its either that or the rubber gasket for the oil cover is hung up. can get a honda oem plug on ebay for like $15
