Very rare Japaneese Model Titan 500. This was the model for distribution in Japan. It was called a GT500. Suzuki changed the name of theTitan 500 to a GT500 in name only in the Japan market in 1971 but no one really knew about it in the USA. The bike was a Titan 500 but Suzuki named it a GT500 in Japan only. You can actually find an ad for the bike, showing a picture of It still had the drum front brake but used a GT750 water buffalo tank...This bike is a 1972 Titan 500 from Japan. It was built in Japan for the Japan market. You are buying a bike here that is very rare and as such, you should do your research prior to bidding, but the bike is a 1972 Titan 500 - called and labelled a GT500 but with a T500 V.I.N. made for the Japan market. The original Japaneese person who owned it, had it shipped over to America when they moved here. VIN T500-47424 Manufacture Date: 9/71 Drum front brake. The engine turns over with great compression!!! The bike shifts through all of the gears. The brakes work. The clutch works. Missing fork ears, headlight bulb, seat, a side cover, and maybe a few other small items. Gas tank is pretty decent inside and it is still hooked up to the carbs. If you are a collector, this bike might be for you, or if you want to own a very rare bike, this bike is for you. Chrome is excellent too. Thanks.
